WHMCS (http://www.whmcs.com) can be used to automate your whole web hosting & development business. It can automate invoice generation, domain registration, account creation on the server, and much more.

Here are a few tips for using WHMCS.

• Install WHMCS in it's own account on the server / VPS. This helps to keep it more secure, since you don't need to share the same account details as with another account. It also helps if you want to move it to another server / VPS, without moving your main website. Lastl, if you want to use a Secure Certificate (SSL) you'll need to use a dedicated IP, and this can only be done with a seperate account.
  
• Once installed, secure your WHMCS as per the WHCS Wiki
• Subscribe to the Forum - there's a lot of neat stuff on the forum, and this is your first source of support.
