- Open Microsoft Outlook Express.

- Click on Tools > Accounts > Mail > Add Mail

- On the "Your Name" screen, type in your Full names, for example Peter Pan. This is what others will see when they receive your emails. Click on Next, once done.

- Type in your email address, for example, peterpan@mydomain.co.za - replace this with your actual email address. Click on Next, once done.

- From the Drop Down menu, "My incoming mail server is a" choose POP3, or if you want to use IMAP, choose IMAP.

- In the field, "Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server:" type in mail.mydomain.co.za. In the field, "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:" type in mail.mydomain.co.za. Once done, click Next.

- In the "Account Name" field, type in peterpan@mydomain.co.za - i.e. type in your email address, which also serves as your username. In the "Password" field, type in your email password. Once done, click on Next.
- Now click on Finish to complete this step. You'll see a new account added to the list of email accounts already setup. Lastly we need to enable SMTP Authentication to make sure you can send emails. Still in the list of email accounts, click on the newly created account to highligt it, and then click on "Properties" to edit the email account's properties.

- Click on the "Servers" tab on top.

- At the bottom, enable the option that reads My server requires authentication. Now click on "Settings" right next to it, and make sure ONLY the option Use same settings as my incoming mail server is ticked. Click "Ok" to get out of this screen, and then "OK" again, and lastly on "Close"

Now you're ready to send and receive emails :)
