How can I set a nice looking bash prompt on my Linux VPS?

Add the following lines to the end of /etc/profile

PS1="\[\e]2;\u@\H \w\a\e[32;1m\]\[\e[0m\]\[\e[31;1m\]\u@\[\e[34;1m\]\h:[\W]$\[\e[0m\] "
export PS1
